The Beginning
How It All Started
In 1999, amidst the pine-scented air of Ranikhet, a small dream took root. What began as a modest four-room guesthouse has blossomed into something far more profound — a sanctuary where strangers become family and the mountains work their quiet magic.
The founders, lifelong Kumaon residents, believed that true hospitality isn't about luxury amenities or star ratings. It's about the warmth of a morning chai served with genuine care, the stories shared around evening bonfires, and the peace that comes from simply being present in nature's embrace.

A dream to share the magic of Ranikhet begins. Woodsvilla opens its doors with just 4 rooms.
2004
Growing Roots
Expanded to 8 rooms. First international guests arrive from Germany and Japan.
2009
A Decade of Memories
Celebrated 10 years with our first 'returning families' gathering. 500+ families hosted.
